Stephen Dupuis is a Senior Fellow at the American Leadership and Policy Foundation. As a USAF officer and veteran B-52 bomber aircrew, Stephen has spent his career leading airmen and ensuring the continuity of America’s strategic military deterrence.
Before joining the service, Dupuis was a successful entrepreneur and small business owner. As the creator of Defiant Photography, Stephen employed a professional staff of five and served a broad corporate client list including Lifetime Fitness, Craven Pottery, Ringling Barnum Bailey, Meals on Wheels, Xterra Sports, and the real-estate industry.
Through his interest in photography and travel, Dupuis discovered his passion and desire to change the circumstances he often saw behind the lens. In 2008 he helped envision and co-found Beyond Poverty, a grass-roots international charity whose mission is to help liberate people from the burdens of extreme poverty by empowering communities to be agents of transformation, enabling them to solve their own problems and break free from the cycle of poverty. Stephen believes in the veracity of conservative ideas because he has watched them make the difference between long-term transformation and charity.
Dupuis’ work has been part of an on-going and important campaign in the non-profit arena to increase awareness about how to create lasting solutions to the socio-economic challenges confronting millions world-wide. Today, Stephen continues to speak and write about practical solutions to poverty.
Stephen is currently pursuing his Masters and has a B.A. degree in mass communications from Valdosta State University. He resides with his wife, Jessica, and their daughter in Shreveport, Louisiana.
